Two Car Accident in Long Beach Injures Five

Two cars collided in Long Beach on Sunday, injuring five people.

The accident happened at 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Wardlow Rd. and Orange Ave. in Long Beach.

A Hyundai Tucson was eastbound on Wardlow. A Volkswagen Jetta was northbound on Orange. The intersection is controlled by a traffic signal. One of the vehicles ran a red light and slammed into the other. One of the cars came to rest fully inside a Mexican restaurant, Hole Mole, located at the corner of the intersection.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, five people were injured in the car accident and transported to a local hospital.
