Norwalk Washington Cropped

A pedestrian was hit by a truck in Whittier on Monday.

The accident happened at 5:50 a.m. at the intersection of Norwalk Blvd. and Washington Blvd. The driver of the truck was turning left from Norwalk Blvd. to Washington Blvd.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene of the accident.

When a pedestrian is hit by a truck, catastrophic injuries or death can result. If the truck is a commercial vehicle, commercial vehicles generally have higher policy limits than non-commercial vehicles. In accidents involving catastrophic injuries or death, one of the first things that we do is demand that the insurance company disclose the policy limit. We also immediately send the insurance company documentation of the severity of our client’s injuries and demand that the insurance company tender the policy limit.

Catastrophic injuries can result in a lifetime of pain and disability for the injury victim. The at-fault driver must be held accountable for the harm that he or she caused.
